Scouting's Sunrise Celebrations
7-9pm
Our District had a Scouting's Sunrise (Sunset) celebrationg atthe Ley Hill Beacon from 7pm on 1st August. There
was a renewal of promises at 8pm, the lighting of the Beacon and then a barbecue put on by Tyler's Hill Scout
Group.
We decided to join the District at the end of our camp. We
struck camp and then drove over to Ley Hill. We arrived a little late at 7.50pm due to having to park a long
way away, but most of the group got to renew their promises (again). Afterwards we visited the barbecue for our
tea and then headed back to the Scout Hut to collect our kit and go home.
