Misbourne Hike

This completed the Spring term's work on the Expedition Challenge. Scouts that completed the hike gained the badge. We also ran the hike as a sponsored event to raise money for Lawrence and the Scouts that are attending the Jamboree and also to buy some new hike tents. In total we raised raised £291.60.

We set off early on the Saturday morning and hiked over two days. We camped part way along the route on the Saturday night at Chalfont Heights campsite. The Scouts will carried nearly all of the equipment that they needed - i.e. tent, sleeping bag, stoves and food. They were able to practise their map reading and navigation skills and also carried out a visual survey of the River Misbourne, noting the levels at various points.
