Autumn Camp
We met in the morning at the Scout Hut and then hiked with kit to the campsite. It was cold but mainly dry.
We had good fire and enjoyed a warm night camping out in the woods.

Remembrance Service
Once again we had a service at Holy Trinity in Prestwood with Scouts and Guides from Prestwood. Elspeth
played the music, and some of our Scouts read prayers.

County Orienteering Competition
We entered two teams in the annual event that took place in Wendover Woods. The Scouts competed in pairs, and
had a good time.

Day Visit to the World Scout Jamboree
We visited the World Scout Jamboree at Hylands Park in Essex to experience the event. The day was a great
chance to see what a Jamboree was like, and to get an idea of what Lawrence has been up to for the last few
days.

Scouting's Sunrise Camp
We camped overnight camp on the 31st July in Great Missenden. As part of the Sunrise celebrations, we had a
ceremony in the morning, which will included a renewal of our Scout Promises at 8.00am. At the same time Scouts
all around the UK were doing the same thing.

Blue Peter Prom
A small group of us travelled up on an early train to London where we enjoyed the Prom in the Albert Hall.
After the concert we were lucky enough to be able to meet Peter Duncan, before having a picnic in Hyde Park,
and then investing Luke in BP House.

Churchyard Clearing
As part of the Community Challenge and few of us worked clearing the rear car park of Holy Trinity
Prestwood.

County Centenary Camp
A very wet and windy weekend which saw 8 Scouts and 9 Cubs camping with some 3000 others from Bucks. Despite
the weather and having to evacute to the Scout Hut on Sunday evening, all had a good time.

Longridge County Water Weekend
Water activities at Longridge Boating Centre on the Thames. A great weekend with lots of activities on or in
the water and also a few on dry land too! The 8 Scouts that attended all had a great time despite the rain.

Missenden Show
The Show was on the Misbourne playing fields and was run as an important fundraising event for the Group. The
Troop ran a space-hopper obstacle course and a welling wanging stall. We also took part in the parade, the
challenge event and helped on other stalls as necessary.

St. George's Day
The annual parade and service for the District. This year it will be held in Chesham.

East-A-Venture
Four days of activities in the Peak District, together with Scouts from other groups in the District.
Activities include climbing, caving, hiking and mountain biking.

District Incident Hike
This was the annual District Competition which was hosted this year by 1st Chesham Scouts.

Misbourne Hike
This completed the Spring term's work on the Expedition Challenge. Scouts that completed the hike gained the
badge. We also ran the hike as a sponsored event to raise money for Lawrence and the Scouts that are
attending the Jamboree and also to buy some new hike tents. So far we have raised £256.60.

London Challenge Weekend
Five members of the Troop spent the first weekend of the centenary year in London with Ben, Elspeth and Eric.
The group stayed at Baden-Powell House in South Kensington. Activities included a very wet "London
Challenge " on the Saturday.
