Sponsored Hike
This was a sponsored hike in aid of ShelterBox, as part of the 2010 ShelterBox Challenge and the Fitness
Challenge. Seven Scouts braved the cold snowy weather to hike from Burnham Beeches to Marlow.

Remembrance Sunday Parade and Service
A parade followed by 2 minutes silence and then a service of Remembrance at Holy Trinity Church in
Prestwood.

County Orienteering Competition
We entered two Scout teams and one Explorer team in the annual orienteering competition at Wendover
Woods.

Caving Trip
7 Scouts together with Ben, Elspeth and Andy went to Somerset for the weekend to go caving with the County
Caving Team.

Autumn Camp
A two night camp at Chalfont Heights site. The weather was dry and the sun even came out at the end of the
camp.

Group Camp
We attended the Group Camp at Phasels Wood together with Cubs, Beavers, and Beaver Parents. The weather was the
hotest so far for the year, making a dry and very hot camp.

Shelterbox Scavenger Hunt
We had three teams of Scouts competing in a Scavenger Hunt in London as part of Shelterbox's "Big Green Box
Week".

Senior Expedition
A three day expedition to the Peak District. Six Scouts and three leaders attended and explored the National
Park over the bank holiday weekend, with some better than average weather..

Troop Camp
We went camping for the weekend at Phasels Wood campsite, and took part in various activities
during the weekend including crate stacking and potholing.

Day Hike
We had a day hike in the Chilterns for the Scouts to gain another Hike Away and to practise their
navigation skills. We walked from the Scout Hut to Coombe Hill and back again, a total of 20km.

Emergency Aid Stage 3
As this badge requires quite a lot of time to be spent on it, we ran a whole day session on Saturday
27th March for the Scouts to learn all that was required and gain the badge.

District Night Hike
A competition hike around the Chilterns for teams of 4-6 Scouts and a shadow. The Scouts competed against
other Troops in the District. The hike ended late, so everyone slept over at the end.

Junior Expedition
We went on a two day expedition travelling to Gilwell Park campsite in London. The Scouts were involved in
planning the route, they carried their basic kit and cooked an evening meal and breakfast. They also undertook
some research into the history of the campsite and will report back to the rest of the Troop in the following
weeks.
