This autumn looks set to be a busy term. There are a number of weekend events, camps and Troop nights.
We will be making a few changes to have a fourth Patrol, and will include some team activities to strengthen the Patrols and new leaders. We will also be touching on a number of the Challenge badges to help the Scouts with their progress.

Badges you could earn this term: Dragon Boating, Emergency Aid Stage 1.

08.30 - 17.00 at Longridge. We have a team of 19 Scouts taking part.

07/10/09 Gt Missenden I Review night - what the Troop did last year. All parents are invited
Includes presentations by Scouts and we will award the Scout of the Year trophy.

10/10/09 Wendover Woods O County Orienteering Competition - Saturday morning.
Scouts compete in teams of 2. £3 per Scout to enter.

17/10/09 Prestwood O District 5-A-Side Football Competition
2pm-5pm, Cost £3 per Scout

17/10/09 Gt Missenden I Group Beetle Drive - This is both a social event for the group and a fundraiser. Bring the whole family to enjoy playing Beetle with other members of the group. The event should include refreshments. More details to come form the Exec. - Postponed 10

31/10/09 Prestwood O Conservation Workday at Holy Trinity Church in Prestwood.
Once again we are going to join members of Holy Trinity and Prestwood Nature to help them with keeping the churchgrounds tidy.
Scouts may attend for all or part of the day. No cost. Bring gardening gloves.

2.30 - 4.00pm, Full smart uniform (including a poppy!). A collection will be made.

District Jamboree Selection Weekend.

This will be a weekend camp sometime in October-December. It is to select the three Scouts that will represent the District in the Bucks Unit that attends the World Scout Jamboree in Sweden in the summer of 2011. Scouts must be born between 25/07/1993 and 27/07/1997 to attend the Jamboree.

  • Please attend each meeting in full uniform unless told otherwise. You may bring old clothes and shoes to change in to if you wish.
  • Please make sure that you also bring a coat for all weeks, even those stated as indoors, as we may go outside for a short while. - Be Prepared!
  • Please inform a leader before the meeting if you are going to be away to help us to plan activities. A phone call or email a day or two in advance would be best.
